Temporarily Outsource Network License (Detaching)
From a software-based network license, you can outsource licenses, i.e. detach for a limited time from a network HASP SL key, to temporarily install them on a local computer.
The prerequisites for the HASP server computer can be found under the following prerequisites: Network Key (HASP SL).
Server with HASP SL key installed
1. On the server where the HASP SL key is installed, open the Admin Control Center in a browser via http://localhost:1947
(You can select the language for the Admin Control Center from the links at the bottom of the page.)
2. Select the Detachable Licenses tab from the Configuration option:
Check the On-Demand Detaching of Licenses option to allow STRAKON workstations to temporarily outsource a network license. Determine the maximum number of days to remove from storage and the quantity of reserved licenses that cannot be removed. Confirm with Submit.Switch to the computer where you want to temporarily install the license.
1. Open the browser and start the Admin Control Center by entering http://localhost:1947
2. The Products option displays all products available on the network. You can select the network license that offers an outsourced license from Detach:
After clicking, the selected product opens. The display shall provide information on the quantity of licenses available and the maximum period of removal from storage:
Select the Online paging method and determine the Expiration Date for Detached License in the input fields.Confirm with Detach & Attach.The Products option now also displays the computer that has taken the license off the network:
