Directory Synchronization
Please note with applications for directory synchronization, e.g. server stored profiles etc., that you close STRAKON and also all opened plans before the synchronization to avoid data loss. Alternatively, you exclude the STRAKON directory of open plans Version.20XX\strakon-workdir * (see installation paths) from the synchronization if you want to close STRAKON always with opened plans.
* Version.20XX corresponds to the newly installed version, e.g. Version.2025

If the setup program does not find the runtime libraries for Visual C++, it offers their installation, which you must perform as a user with administrator privileges.
Important Information about the Installation
The separate installation takes place independently of the later STRAKON user, i.e. it can be carried out by an administrator account. In addition, for the installation of the user data, select whether it should be performed separately for each user or for all users.
User data separately for each user
After the installation of the program data, the user data for the user account is automatically installed during the first start of STRAKON by the user. This process does not require any administrative rights for the user.
User data for all users
During the installation the program data incl. user data are installed. All STRAKON users later access the common user data via their user account.
If STRAKON is needed only for one user on the computer, the installation can also be performed directly from his user account, but with administrative authorization.
Installation with custom installation path is no longer supported.

DICAD 20XX program group
Regardless of the installation type selected, the DICAD 20XX program group with all entries is available for each user in the Windows Start menu after installation.
Prerequisite for an update:
Updates are only possible with the same choice of installed user data.
