STRAKON 

The CAD system STRAKON is perfectly suitable for all tasks involving the production of formwork and reinforcement plans of building, precast and bridge construction.

STRAKON is well prepared for the international market. It is available in the following languages: English, French, German and Polish. Furthermore at STRAKON the most acceptable international standards are fully integrated (BS 8666, ASA, SANS, DIN, BAEL ,Ö-Norm, SIA, NB, etc.) In special applications, however, an individual adjustment is possible.

Organization

Highest data security is granted by automated direct storing of the drawing objects. The graphical object administration of STRAKON carries all relevant information of an object, e.g. of a plan and administers these reliably and comfortably. In an emergency the last 10 processing status could be reconstructed.

For professional usage with complex planning a two-screens-solution is usable. So it is possible to represent e.g. an overview and a section view at the same time.

STRAKON can give the users personal handwriting to a plan by allowing many individual pre-settings.

For fast training clearly arranged assistance windows offer help information at any time and the training program present at the CD supports the user in the initial phase.

Instruction input

With the contextsensitive function calls (click function) operational sequences are substantially shortened. Clicking with the help of the middle mouse button on an existing element, the program switches into the input function of such an element and takes over thereby the element characteristics as pre-setting for the element which should be entered. Intelligent key definitions rounding the function range of STRAKON.

Free hand symbols

To free hand symbols offer optimal job ergonomics for the CAD usage.

The system recognizes and converts instructions immediately, which are written as signs on mouse pad or tablett.

For example a drawing section (zoom) is defined by a handwritten line from bottom left to top right. By a "V" it is indicated to show the plan in full size immediately.

A meaningful number of these symbols fasten the work with STRAKON around a multiple.

Reinforcement 2000

For the reinforcement input a new input technology with automatic formwork outline recognition has been developed:

Base for that is the associativity between formwork and reinforcement. As the reinforcement form is entered only sketchily as a line, the input of a position is done very simply. The program recognizes and shows thereby the correct, parallel formwork edges, which are important for the receipt of the linkage. This free-handing sketch is converted then into accurately fitting reinforcement.

The immediate visualization of the inputs on the screen makes a direct control of the proceeding possible. A minimum set of rules and further logic functions facilitate the work additionally.

Changes

In the work of the technical designer changes unfortunately belong to the daily affairs. Statistic investigations show that during the work on changes most errors are happening. STRAKON was conceived directly in such a way that this could not happen.

The linkage between geometry, dimensioning, reinforcement and the sizes depending on it (volumes, steel lists...) ensures the steady compatibility of these critical ranges.

STRAKON supports the user doing changes with extensive possibilities by the adjustment from designs or elements already finished. The logic functions of STRAKON guarantees that constructional connections are considered automatically. Changes are reduced by the complete existing associativity of the objects to a minimum expenditure of time.

Even a change of concrete covering over the entire plan is a comfortable affair for the user.

Dimensioning and inscription

All conceivable variants of the naturally associative DIN dimensioning are interactively supported by the system.

Circle and circular arc dimensionings become positioned spot-on as a matter of course whether radian measure, radius interior/outside, diameters or angles interior/outside. Different symbols of the associative relative elevation dimensioning support the user on demand.

Because of the associativity of objects subsequent changes take place in a minimum expenditure of time.

Walls

In STRAKON walls are own design elements, additional to lines or polygons. Complex sketches can be designed in only one processing step, whereby wall corners are connected automatically and wall junctions interactively. It does not play a role whether there are straight or round walls. Openings, like doors or windows, or in addition, recesses or wall slots are inserted with STRAKON easily with own functions.

Additional to the 2D-View walls could also be represented and visualized with their installations in a 3D-View. The data for creating the 3D-View are administered automatically by STRAKON, so that the user is relieved. This fast creatable type of representation is in principle possible for all formwork constructions. Sections from the 3D-View can be inserted and further processed into the plan, e.g. with dimensioning or reinforcement.

Bar and mats

The laying of reinforcement elements is supported particularly practically by STRAKON.

Bars and mats could be represented also in 1:1 with close formwork - for the better appraisal and improvement of planning security.

For the reinforcement of bails the hook lengths are considered according to DIN as well as during the bar laying the spreading lengths. Due to the large capacities on the international market the German standards are not the only applied into it; STRAKON gets along with all European standards.

For the mesh laying all shedule-, bearing- and to self-defined mesh types are at the disposal. The properties of the meshes, e.g. impact cover or iron cross section of the optionally available FEM interface, become considered by the installation. A multiplicity of application-friendly functions and computations are available in STRAKON during the laying, e.g. the optimization of remaining meshes.

If the work was interrupted, then the position number administration supplies a reference to you with the layings and iron excerpts already accomplished in this plan. The comprehensive support of STRAKON ensures for the fact that no iron excerpt is forgotten. After changes the steel list is brought automatically onto the current stats. Thus redundancies are practically impossible in the reinforcement.

Stealing and bending lists

Complex drawings with a multiplicity of different reinforcements contain a large quantity of information about the steel which can be layed.

STRAKON offers here an optimal assistance for creating of steal and bending schedules. For bar-, schedule- and bearing meshes all information could be outputted in clear form into external steel lists or into the plan. After changes these lists are modified automatically by the logic functions in STRAKON.

Data exchange

For the data exchange with other CAD systems the DXF data interface belongs to the scope of services.

Likewise a linkage to statics and/or FEM programs (e.g. MicroFe and Infograph) is possible by an optionally available FEM interface.

Variant construction

Producing own design elements (macros) with self-defined capacity is made possible for the user with the module variant construction. After storing it, the macro can be inserted at any time in any place with changed dimensions. Also formulas can be considered with this parameterized variant construction.

Application examples are special fittings or constructional finished units like columns, girders or TT plates. If such elements are inserted into a plan, they are registered automatically in parts lists, which can be self-evident processed.

The macro is also able to use the associative reinforcement and offers to you thereby the automated reinforcement installation, because the logic function with formwork geometry exists also in here.

Macro auxiliary catalog

The provided macro catalog with usual design elements from the high and precast construction offers you a fast entrance for the use of the technologies of the variant construction.

Contained beneath different stairs, bearers, foundations and columns are also special construction components, such as prefabricated stairs and purlin roof.

Editing the inserted variants afterwards is problem-free with the help of the correction options. Additionally the macros can be modified comfortably in their dimensions and their reinforcement, with the associated input mask and value input.

Creating illustrations

Similar construction units often require for an reinforcement guiding, which differs a little from each other. The provided illustrations offer a multiplicity of reinforcement automatisms, particularly from the range to the prefabrication industry.

The function illustration makes it possible to transfer, resp. illustrate, the existing reinforcement of a construction unit onto another similar construction unit. A substantial easement results from it, in the case of the reinforcement input, because for several reinforcement elements the scarf edges in the illustration must be clicked only once.

With STRAKON it is possible to produce individual reinforcement automatisms fast and comfortably. The graphical administration allows subsequent a re-installation without large expenditure. After the re-installation all correction options are at the disposal to the user again.

Automatic reinforcement sections

With the function of reinforcement sections an automatic point laying can be made in prepared formwork sections via the definition of a section line in existing laying fields.

Radial mesh laying

Ever more frequently the technical designer has to make a laying of meshes over radial formwork edges. STRAKON offers this kind of laying: With the associated function single mats can be layed radially arranged. By the definition of the inner and the outer circle STRAKON recognizes the formwork edges and layes the necessary meshes automatically.
With STRAKON also circular-arc-shaped bar steel layings are not a problem.

Data import from FE programs

The FEM reinforcement module permits to transfer the results (as-values) of a FE slab calculation directly into STRAKON. The reinforcement are displayed graphically via vectors and underlay a selectable section of the plan. With normal reinforcement functionality the reinforcement cover can be made both with meshes and with bar steel.

Because of the possibility to display the necessary reinforcement at each measurement point the laying can be done fast and economically. During the laying anchorage and off-set measurement, as well as the spreading lengths are considered.

Having changes and renewed FEM computation a comparison of the necessary and existing reinforcement takes place.

With the following software companies a data exchange of the FE computations is possible at present, because these support the revealed interface format and their conventions:

Extended correction functions

The comfort package for formwork and reinforcement correction extends the already numerously contained functions of STRAKON. So it is possible e.g. to insert openings into a surface immediately during the reinforcement of meshes or to turn the entire angle of the plan. Many special functions support the user creating or changing the plan, so that an optimal correction is possible with minimum expenditure of time.

STRAKON/S

The high end variant of our CAD product family.

STRAKON/S is the high end product for all tasks creating formwork and reinforcement plans for building, engineering, industrial and bridge construction as well as for the pre-fabricated concrete part planning.
Special attention was paid to have a preferably high ease of use and much comfort for doing changes and corrections. STRAKON/S allows e.g. constructing in the twisted plan. Global corrections, e.g. for texts with search and replacing functionality, are extremely effectively applicable. Even normally time-consuming changes of the concrete covering in the reinforcement become a no-brainer, and if necessary in all positions.
